Dong is situated at an altitude of 1420 M on the eastern most part of the state. After trekking about 8 km from Walong in Anjaw district one can visit Dong village. The village became a historical place when the millenniums first glimpse of sun rays of the country was seen on 1st January 2002 at 5.54 am.

Helmet Top is a place where 32 graves are decorated by the helmets. These graves are of the Indian soldiers who sacrificed their life during the Chinese aggressions.
