Mauling National Park is situated in Upper Siang under Jengging sub-division. It covers an area of 483 sq. km. it is famous for the white feathered wild duck.
Solung is a socio-religious festival of this province, where sacrifice of Mithun (Bos frontolis) is part of the culture. This festival remains for 7 days and is celebrated by the Minyong tribe in the month of September.
Ponung this is the dance of Adi’s. This folk dance is performed before harvesting by team of young girls in perfect rhythmic unison. It is a women dance lead by the Miri, a man adept in mythical song about the origin of paddy and other crops. The Adi’s migrated from Mayu and became the dominating tribe of this district whereas the Khamba and Memba the follower of Buddhism are minorities in numbers that inhabits the Indo-Sino border land. They are believed to be migrated from Tibet in early 20th century.
